Both the tram stops along the new line no. 2 and the vehicles serving this route will be designed in such a way as to allow people living with disabilities, the elderly who are somewhat limited in their mobility, as well as mothers with prams or strollers to easily use them. The tram stop platforms will be at the same level as the floor of the trams. This will be very helpful in getting on and off the tramcars for those having difficulties with climbing stairs, as well as people using wheelchairs or prams. At the end of the platforms, wheelchair ramps will be built to provide easy access to the platforms situated above the level of the road surface. Wheelchair access will be easiest at the front doors, and special places – two on board each tramcar – will be reserved for them on the vehicles. The signal buttons in the passenger compartment will be located within easy reach also to those in wheelchairs, and will be clearly signposted with pictograms. The surface of the platform will be formed in such a way as to indicate where the edge of the platform is and where the doors of the tramcar arriving would open. These solutions are designed to help orient the vision impaired, as does also the announcement, by way of loudspeakers, of the stops on board of the vehicles.
